Winton was helped to the Rainbow Bridge after a long, brave battle against CRF.

CRF - which is also called CRI, Chronic Renal Insufficiency - is a condition where the kidneys can not longer process electrolytes effectively. The waste then accumulates in the cat's body, poisoning the cat. Electrolyte imbalances, anemia and blood pressure problems may also occur as the kidneys continue to deteriorate.
