Very Important Question

Okay, I have very important question ahead of me, and I would like the help of my furrriends in determining an answer.

My bean come home from work today and one of her clients ask her if she want another cat. It seems that the people that live next to him have their house foreclose and that they leave and just leave their cat behind. This is a 3-year old male tabby cat with white paws. He is fixed and he just went to vet and get checked out and get all his shots. The Davises, who have him now, try to introduce him into their household but their current cats would not accept him. He is very cuddley they say, and is very active and love to play with catnip toys.

He is currently being kept as an outdoor cat, but this not ideal situation anywhere in state of Florida, especially with hurricanes and the like.

Now you may think this no brainer, but I do not know how I would react to having to share my home with other cat. I can be very protective of my territories, but then I also have friend cats that come to visit, or that I go to visit them. I am middle-aged lady cat in good health and can be very active, I like to chase toys, but I probably do a good deal more napping than playing these days. I am very loving and very protective of and attached to my bean.

So what do you think? Do I want new brofurr? Maybe having companion to keep me company while bean at work all day not such a bad idea. And this one is also indoor/outdoor cat so we can go outside together if we get on each others nerves too much indoors.

Please think about it and leave your vote in my comment section. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Meet Yoda: Celebri-cat

Yoda the Cat The latest Celebri-cat to hit the feline scene is Yoda, a four eared cat that live in Downers Grove, Illinois. That's right. Four eared.

Yoda became famous when his picture was posted on the internet. Since then, his family could use a couple of extra hands as they have been fielding calls and appearance offers from "Good Morning America," "Fox News" and "The Tyra Banks Show." The cat's photo has graced the London Guardian and a British tabloid. The Daily Mail said if Batman had a cat, it would be Yoda.

Ted and Valerie Rock said they found Yoda in a Blue Island bar in 2006 while they were watching a Chicago Bears game. The bar owner was keeping the 8-week old kitten in a cage where he was providing "entertainment" to the cruel and evil patrons who mocked his appearance, calling him names like "Devil Cat" and "Beelzebub."

The Rocks felt sorry for the kitten and offered to adopt him from the bars owner. While it was not love at first sight for the Rocks, the slightly demonic looking cat has certainly swept the hearts, and curiosities of people around the world.

For now, Yoda is considering his appearance schedule and keeping an "ear" out for the just the right opportunities. You have to admit that is man-cat is certainly a devilish little heart-throb!

Romance Awareness Month

Bean was kind of wondering why many of the scrap places were releasing romance themed kits all of the sudden, but then she find out it is National Romance Month. She very our to touch with the Romantic.

Romance Awareness Month, like Valentine’s Day, serves as an important reminder to celebrate your love relationship. And although it’s common sense, it’s still not common practice.

Here are some teasing and pleasing tips to help inspire you to create your own expressions of love, and keep your relationship hot and sunny all of August and longer!

1. Escape to the outside; have an evening picnic and watch the sunset together.
2. Cozy up and share a sundae. Disney’s Lady and the Tramp made sharing fun; why not the two of you?
3. Send a virtual kiss to your sweetie’s Monday morning Inbox.
4. Slow dance in the moonlight to your favorite love songs.
5. Try something new and exciting together! Maybe go for stroller ride together or learn synchronized stretching.
6. Rediscover the magic of a shared grooming. 10 minutes minimum! This may require repeating often!
7. Take a stroll in the warm sun. Nothing is nicer then the feeling of warm sunshine on your furs.
8. Extravagant yes, but go up on the roof together. Feel what it’s really like to be on cloud nine!
9. Spend the night in the back backyard, making love under the stars the way our wild cousins do it.
10. Go for a nice long roll in the dirt together.

Remember, summer’s not over — that means HOT is the order of the day! Better still, why don’t you and your partner start your own heat wave!

Aside from Romance Awareness Month, also says it's Admit You're Happy Month, Family Fun Month, National Eye Exam Month, National Golf Month, Peach Month, Water Quality Month, National Picnic Month and one that sounds very interesting to me, National Catfish Month.

Next week, 24th August through 30th August is "Be Kind to Humankind Week" so try to be nice to your human. I know, a week is along time to have to tolerate them.

August 26th is National Dog Day - when is National Cat Day? and August 28th is Race Your Mouse Day. It doesn't say anything about not eating said mouse once you are done racing it, so have some fun with this one?

Purrhaps you and your partner can race the mouse together and enjoy sharing the snack with each other later?

So now you know. I guess I should look to see what kind of interesting things, coming up in September before month is over. Although we know 19 of September is Annual Meow like a Pirate day.

Diamond,black cat

It seem we not done with fickle Fay, which drop much rain on us yesterday. So I stuck inside again, all day. Even when bean come home, I look outside not sure I want to go out, still much raining out there. But I go out for a little while.

Bean make me a nice virtual outside though with many dragonflies for me to chase. Not as much fun to chase them virtually though as it is to chase them in real life. Nice though that she think of me.

Bean's mother call here to see what is going on. I guess she wanted to hear about how flooded we were, like she see on TV, but we get no flooding except over the the Marina, which always floods. So then she proceed to tell my bean that her cholestral count was down, probably from all those healthy meals the elderly center has been sending her. So she decide to celibrate with some ice cream.

"Oh, that's really going help your cholesteral," my bean says. Mother not care. She ice cream freak. Anyway, talk about meals on wheels remind me of this joke:

A good cat died and went to Heaven. God met her at the gates and said, 'You have been a good cat all these years. Anything you want is yours for the asking.'

The cat thought for a minute and then said, 'All my life I lived on a farm and slept on hard wooden floors. I would like a real fluffy pillow to sleep on.'

God said, 'Say no more.' Instantly the cat had a huge fluffy pillow.

A few days later, six mice were killed in an accident and they all went to Heaven together. God met the mice at the gates with the same offer that He made to the cat.

The mice said, 'Well, we have had to run all of our lives: from cats, dogs, and even people with brooms! If we could just have some little roller skates, we would not have to run again.'

God answered, 'It is done.' All the mice had beautiful little roller skates.

About a week later, God decided to check on the cat. He found her sound asleep on her fluffy pillow. God gently awakened the cat and asked, 'Is everything okay? How have you been doing? Are you happy?'

The cat replied, 'Oh, it is WONDERFUL. I have never been so happy in all my life! The pillow is so fluffy, and those little Meals on Wheels you have been sending over are delicious!'

Wimpy Storm

Well, this Hurry-cane we had proved to be a pretty wimpy storm. We get more damage from some of the summer monsoon/thunderstorms. Bean do Hurry-cane preparedness level one, but didn't even need it as the power not go out. Never even flicker.

The only one the storm seem to bother was bean herself, as she has what she call "weather bones" which I guess she get from this Mr. Arthur Itis that bother her. Anyway, she in much pain because of it, have trouble walking, more so than usual. As a result, I say by her all day so that she will not hurt herself tying to find the good cat-cat.

Since I could not go outside in the storm, she make me my own virtual garden to enjoy.

Because, she say, it should always be good and sunny weather there the good cat-cat live.

Bean's pirate hunting expedition was not at all successful as the pirates stayed in Pirate City far away and did not come out to play. Can't that I blame them with big storm coming.

This weekend she is hunting Orioles and then next week she hunt Tigers. She just get done hunting Tigers and say most of them very rude, so I do not know why she want to hunt them again.

I go outside after the storm in the afternoon, but there really not much going on. Bean just want to sleep as she did not sleep much Monday night as her "weather bones" were bothering her too much.

I think the storm go to visit Zoolarty after it get done here, but I'm sure they found it just as uninteresting as I did.

Beyond that, there is not much else to report. I still have trouble with computer as I cannot get MSIE to work right, even though I get bean to download newer version. So I must use Firefox.

Meanwhile, bean find most, if not all, of her fonts, so she is happier than she was with the new computer. She still cannot find backup disk #3, whatever that means, so she still missing some files.

Cute Cat
Yo ho, Yo ho, A Pirate Cat for me!

We are supposed to be having Hurry-cane, maybe Tuesday. I do not know why it called Hurry-cane, when it take so long to get here. So far, the humans not talk about much else except this Hurry-cane.

Hurry-cane is where there is much wind and the rain falls sideways. You do not want to be outside in Hurry-cane, as they wind can pick you up and toss you places. I have been outside in Hurry-canes, and it is best to hide when they came, someplace safe and dry, like a little den.

My new little den is in Bean's closet, so that is where I will spend the Hurry-cane. It is safe and dry there, even if the waters get a little high, because I have box to sleep on.

Sometimes the power goes off when there is a Hurry-cane and there is no air. That is not very comfortable, although our house stay pretty cool, even without air. Bean say it Florida house.

So Bean is going to hunt Pirates today with Brett, and then we have Hurry-cane on Tuesday.

In other news, we get new Gateway to the Internets. Bean has been busy trying to find and restore all our data.

"I have back up," I say helpfully. She know I have back up. She just miffed because SHE not have back up. But good cat, cat, back up her files because she knows that ceiling cat saves and heeds those lessons.

It is not a new, new computer, because she not get one that run Windows Vista, but it newer than the old one we have and run much faster and better. So now I can let know how things go with Hurry-cane.

Computer Break

Our computer break, so I am not online right now. Bean said power supply blow up and something about damn hamsters not run when you want them too. I look inside computer but do not see hamsters. She hope to have fixed so that I can post again. Otherwise, I must go to Bean's office, to use computer there.
